Dorothy Christine Rollins Robinson, 90, of Henrico, NC died Friday, December 2, 2011 at Liberty Commons.

She was a native of West Virginia, the daughter of the late Clayton Calvin Rollins, Sr. and Rachel Ellen Morlan Rollins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Columbus Robinson. Dorothy was a graduate of Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1943. She was a 1967 graduate of Old Dominion University with a B.S. in education. Dorothy was a member of the Gastonettes and the Lake Gaston Ladies Club. She was a member of Lakeside Lutheran Church.

Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Barbara R. Taber and her husband, Clark, of Suffolk, VA, and Christina R. Ball and her husband, Rodney L, of Sandston, VA; her son, James Clayton Robinson and his wife, Sherry K, of Matthews, NC; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Jarvis of Henrico, NC and Joan Kurtz and her husband, Harry, of Parkersburg, WV; and her brother, Calvin Clayton Rollins and his wife, Ruth, of Rock Hill, SC.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Lutheran Church in Littleton with Rev. Dennis Hahle officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
